^_^ Kelebihan Penggunaan Teknologi Mudah Alih Dalam Pendidikan ^_^

         Pembelajaran secara M-Learning telah terbukti keberkesanannya di negara luar dan kini telah mula perkenalkan di Malaysia di mana terdapat beberapa institusi pengajian tinggi telah mengintegrasikan teknologi ini dalam kurikulum pengajaran mereka. Perkongsian nota di antara pelajar telah dimudahkan dengan adanya alatan mudah alih seperti PDA di kalangan pelajar. Mereka tidak perlu lagi duduk di hadapan komputer peribadi untuk memuat turun nota. Ianya telah dimudahkan dengan hanya menggunakan internet yang disediakan oleh pembekal perkhidmatan telefon mudah alih yang dilanggani. Oleh yang demikian, memuat turun nota boleh dilakukan di mana sahaja dan pada bila-bila masa. Walaupun pelajar berada di dalam bas ketika pulang ke kampung atau semasa menghirup kopi di kafe-kafe yang menyediakan perkhidmatan internet tanpa wayar.

         Jika sebelum ini kuiz hanya dapat dilakukan di dalam kelas sahaja, kini pensyarah boleh mengadakan kuiz untuk pelajar mereka pada bila-bila masa dengan hanya memasukkan soalan dan menetapkan masa yang perlu diambil bagi setiap kuiz yang diadakan. Hal ini dapat dilakukan melalui alatan mudah alih seperti PDA dan beberapa jenis telefon mudah alih tertentu. Pensyarah boleh tersenyum lebar kerana mereka
bukan sahaja boleh mengadakan kuiz bagi pelajar mereka pada bila-bila masa malah dapat memperolehi markah secara masa nyata tanpa perlu mengira markah secara manual. Perisian-perisian untuk mengadakan kuiz ini boleh didapati dengan mudah dan boleh juga dihasilkan oleh pensyarah tersebut dengan menggunakan teknik pemprograman yang mudah.

         Melalui kajian beberapa orang pengakaji  terhadap ujian yang dilakukan melalui alatan mudah alih dalam pendidikan mendapati bahawa 125 penilaian yang dilakukan melalui ujian M-Learning adalah lebih efektif dan efisyen. Ini adalah kerana ujian yang dilaksanakan secara M-Learning adalah lebih menjimatkan
masa daripada ujian yang dilaksanakan secara kertas dan pensel. Item-item yang dijawab oleh pelajar pula menjadikan proses pemarkahan lebih tepat dan jitu.

         Projek MLearn 2001 mencadangkan bahawa penggunaan M-Learning mungkin dapat memberi kesan yang positif kepada beberapa bidang:

                   1. M-Learning membantu pelajar meningkatkan kemahiran literasi dan numerik untuk mengenalpasti keupayaan sebenar mereka.

                  2. M-Learning boleh digunakan untuk menggalakkan kedua-dua pengalaman pembelajaran bebas dan pengalaman pembelajaran perkongsian (collaborative learning).

                  3. M-Learning dapat membantu pelajar mengenalpasti perkara-perkara yang memerlukan bantuan dan sokongan.

                  4. M-Learning dapat membantu dalam memperjuangkan penggunaan teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi serta dapat membantu mengurangkan jurang di antara literasi telefon mudah alih dengan literasi teknologi maklumat.

                  5. M-Learning membantu pelajar menolak beberapa formaliti daripada pengalaman pembelajaran.

                  6. M-Learning membantu pelajar dalam  mengekalkan fokus pembelajaran untuk jangka masa yang lebih panjang.

                  7. M-Learning membantu meningkatkan self-esteem.

                  8. M-Learning membantu meningkatkan  keyakinan diri.
     
         Kesan-kesan positif ini jika dapat diterapkan di dalam suasana pembelajaran di institusi pengajian tinggi di Malaysia semestinya dapat meningkatkan prestasi seseorang pelajar dalam semua aspek yang ingin dicapai. Selain itu, mereka juga dapat melihat dan menggunakan teknologi mudah alih ini dengan perspektif yang lebih luas.

         Selain itu, elemen multimedia yang mampu mengintegrasikan audio dan video dapat menarik minat pelajar dalam penggunaan M-Learning. Melalui pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang menggunakan audio dan video, pelajar akan menjadi lebih menumpukan perhatian, aktif, konstruktif, bersemangat dan dapat menyemarakkan peranan bekerjasama dalam suasana pemikiran kreatif dan kritis. Perkembangan seperti
ini amat diperlukan dalam melahirkan graduan yang kompetitif dan berdaya saing.

         Keperluan dalam persekitaran pembelajaran yang baru perlu dilaksanakan agar proses pembelajaran tidak terbatas kepada kaedah tradisional semata-mata. Melalui MLearning, kebebasan dan kawalan diberikan sepenuhnya kepada pelajar. Pelajar diberi kebebasan untuk menghantar tugasan, menjawab soalan kuiz, memuat turun nota, berdiskusi dan melakukan aktiviti-aktiviti pembelajaran mengikut kehendak dan kesesuaian masa mereka. Kebebasan yang diberikan kepada mereka terhadap kaedah pembelajaran ini dapat menarik minat mereka dalam mendalami sesuatu pelajaran. Memandangkan setiap pelajar berbeza, ia merupakan motivasi kepada mereka untuk terus maju dan meningkatkan prestasi pelajaran mereka.

         Kemudahan khidmat pesanan ringkas yang hadir bersama alatan mudah alih menjadikan sesi pengajaran dan pembelajaran  lebih mudah kerana segala maklumat berkenaan temujanji bersama ahli kumpulan dan pensyarah dapat dilaksanakan secara 126 masa nyata. Kemudahan ini dapat menjimatkan masa serta memudahkan seseorang pelajar dan pensyarah menetapkan jadual harian mereka tanpa terikat pada masa-masa tertentu sahaja.

This is a slick pic of a concept phone from Pantech's high-end brand, Sky; the device is not for these shores, but that didn't stop it from turning our heads in wonder, as this sleek and glossy creature is thing of pure beauty. The render shows an uber thin sliding design – all the rage in Asia – with a luminous blue touch-sensitive pad on the face and highlights in a metallic finish. The concept shots don't hint at anything else but you can be sure if we see more, you will too.
